The Death of Richard Sipe by Rod Dreher
"...It has been known, and known for a long time, that the Church has a very clear and persistent problem with predatory homosexuals in the ranks of the hierarchy. And it is not by accident. As a seminarian in the 1990s I recall many, many resources that were brought to bear upon young men preparing for the priesthood that were intended to weaken their resolve to live a chaste, celibate life in perfect continence as did Jesus Christ. Such resources were, in my particular case, “psychology” classes (in quotes because it was a label used to disguise the nature and content of the course) that centered on human sexuality that had nothing to do with psychology and more about how to actually have sex with instructions and graphics (the current edition of the text book we had to buy, yes buy, is HERE), days of recollection offered by the notorious nun/priest team of Sr. Fran Ferderer and Fr. John Heagle, and the openly homosexual “staff” psychologist who counseled seminarians and helped them work through their “issues.” I could go on and on. ..."

Compassion, Secrecy and Scandal in the Archdiocese of Seattle--by Peter W. Miller--Countering attempts to obscure a sordid legacy
Breach of Faith
--On Behalf of the Seattle Archdiocese, a Nun and a Priest Teamed up to Evaluate or Counsel Priests Accused of Sex Abuse. They Also Counseled Victims, One of Whom Is Suing over This Conflict of Interest "...As they turn to walk toward their offices from the lobby, Heagle gently sends Ferder forward by putting his hand on the small of her back. It is an intimate gesture, born of a relationship that spans some 30 years. The two are so obviously close that some have observed they seem like husband and wife. Ferder says the relationship is celibate but acknowledges their "deep, deep friendship." They live and work in the same house, (emphasis mine) teach together, and write books together. Together they belong to what they call a "support group" of friends who socialize and take trips, composed of three priests and three nuns. It seems as close to marriage as a nun and priest in good standing can get. ..."

Sisters of compassion need a hand in dealing with the pope
"...Sister Fran Ferder wrote, describing herself as "one of those radical feminist nuns." "I get too weary to respond to the boys in Rome much anymore," she wrote. "Ironically, while they whine about our disobedience to them, too many of them make a practice of being disobedient themselves to the gospel values of compassion and inclusivity. Our Lady's Warriors--Dissenting Authors and Speakers
Sr. Ferder and Fr. Heagle are resource speakers of Call to Action
EXTRA SYNODAL LEGISLATION--Bishop Fabian Bruskewitz, Diocese of Lincoln. Any Catholics in and of the Diocese of Lincoln who attain or retain membership in any of the above listed organizations or groups after April 15, 1996, are by that very fact (ipso facto latae sententiae) under interdict and are absolutely forbidden to receive Holy Communion. Contumacious persistence in such membership for one month following the interdict on part of any such Catholics will by that very fact (ipso facto latae sententiae) cause them to be excommunicated. Absolution from these ecclesial censures is "reserved to the Bishop."
Vatican supports excommunication of Call to Action group. ...Cardinal Re’s recent letter responds to their appeal, which was forwarded by the Bishop of Lincoln himself. The cardinal says that Bruskewitz’s “ruling in the case of ‘Call to Action Nebraska’” was “properly taken” within his competence as Pastor to the diocese. “The judgment of the Holy See is that the activities of ‘Call to Action’ in the course of these years are in contrast with the Catholic Faith due to views and positions held which are unacceptable from a doctrinal and disciplinary standpoint,” Re’s letter continued. “Thus, to be a member of this Association or to support it, is irreconcilable with a coherent living of the Catholic Faith,” he said, adding, “I am confident that Mr. McShane and all the members of ‘Call to Action’ will understand that their line of action is causing damage to the Church of Christ.”...
Archbishop Burke excommunicates fraudulent women "priests." I have communicated with Ms. Fresen, Ms. Hudson, and Ms. McGrath, and informed them that if they participated in an attempted female ordination, they would be excommunicating themselves from the Catholic Church. In the apostolic letter Ordinatio Sacerdotalis, Pope John Paul II reaffirmed that the Catholic Church has no authority to confer priestly ordination on women. This teaching is to be held definitively by all the faithful as belonging to the deposit of faith. Because they participated in the attempted ordination, Church law requires me to publicly declare the excommunication.
